Now many of us have ADHD or have a family member who is cursed by this disorder. Until recently, Ritalin was the drug that was most commonly prescribed by doctors. Some tips you can keep in mind to reduce the side effects of ADHD medications. First and foremost take the medications with food to avoid an upset stomach. Also eat healthy high-protein meals and/or snacks. Liquid protein such as Ensure, Carnation and protein shakes also make a great choice. To increase the chances of having a better sleep try eating later in the evening after the medication has worn off.
